We took Dan and Aimee up on there invitation to visit “Wild & Wonderful West Virginia” at there rental home in Cabins WV. a few weeks ago http://www.mtnriverhome.com. The house worked  out perfectly for a family of 5 with room to spare. All the comforts of home in a great central location for the areas activities. The house was awesome, and the web site lays out perfectly all the things to see and do.  I didn’t get nearly the fishing time I expected but the river access in the area was great, but as usual I was a little late. I’m looking forward to heading back earlier in the season and going for some Golden trout.

This is what’s at the end of Fish Hatchery Road And they frown on fishing there.

My wife took this shot looking down on the house(in the center) from the mountain peak just across the river.

We grilled out every night and made good use of the fire pit.

Dude.. I have invited you to dinner like 3 times now and you keep blowing me off. You bring the sauce (on the side of course) and I’ll do the cooking.
Dan’s place would be a great spot for a Trout stalkers

Mark let me know next time you’re out that way – I was just a little north of that in MD fishing the NB.

I’ll run by that way in October, so you have plenty of time to get prepared.

Aside form the cooking and lodging, what about the fishing?

The water was very skinny when I was there but I saw a few smallmouth on the north fork but didn’t get any hooked. We took a train ride along the south branch and saw lots of folks floating the river and that water looked very fishy plus there were eagles all over so I’m guessing they are eating fish.

October you say I think I’ll be gone fishing then.
