Memberwhat’s the word on this brand, I see it in photos from time to time, but never in any shops, and I’ve been in more than my fair share

MemberI love the Loop gear. If my data is correct there is only one shop in the US that functions as a distributer, I think it’s in ID. So the stuff can be hard to get. Our shop is set up as a Loop retailer, however sometimes it can take 6 weeks to fill an order or get back a repair.
Loop seems to me like the opposite of the classic sporting gentleman type of line – no tweed or elbow patches, if you see what I am say’n. Loop comes off as inovative and edgey and often they hit the mark. The Opti Reels and Multi Series rods are kick ass.
DLD – I can ship you anything you want to check out, PM me if interested.KB

Tim AngeliMemberDavid,
I’m no Loop expert, but it is my understanding that Loop is a eauropean company, Swedish I believe.

Inactive🙂 I have an excuse, I’m not getting paid.
Ah yes, Eric…I believe you are what we are calling here in the Commonwealth…a “volunteer”. This is starting to get rediculous is it not?

MemberLoop is swedish and very popular here in europe. Quality stuff for a reasonable price and indeed no tweed and elbow patches 🙂

MemberSeriously nice gear, we get a fair bit of it here in Melbourne Austraila, for some reason they don’t do much in the way of 9wts (9′) but otherwise they have a great range they both look and cast well and are very well priced 🙂

The Itinerant AnglerHey guys –
Loop is a Swedish company, but their rods are all manufactured abroad (I am pretty sure in Korea).

MemberI have a Grey Line 3 weight that is magic, and Evotec G3 reels and spools.
The Color Series rods were discontinued 2 years ago. I think that coincided with moving the production from Sweden to Asia. The current rods are coded Multi and Opti.
The Evotec G3 reels are gorgeous and totally silent, a feature I like a lot. No clicking or buzzing.
The Evotec reels come in 3 frame weights, and each weight has a about 3 sized of spools. I have 2 Lightweight (LW) frames and 4 spools that sapn from 2 to 7 weight lines. I’ll soon add a Mediumweight
