MemberJust getting ’round to posting some shots from last week’s epic trip with WCA, fellow IA’ers Aaron O. & Jim Lampros, and S. Hemkens of Vermont. Over the top good stuff. Day one was the S. Fk. and the orgasmically obligatory stonefly/caddis/pmd love fest that can be a mid July afternoon in the Rockies.
We stayed till dark.

MemberThanks Tim!
Day 3 was the upper Teton. Beautiful drift with “The Grand” in our background all morning. Nice trout were caught, a double moose sighting was had, and not another boat encountered.
Excellent!

MemberA few parting shots. More found on my flickr page in the WorldCast set. Huge thanks to Mike and the WorldCast folks & Steve H. and the big “O” for the hook-up!
Thanks for viewing and I welcome your feedback as I did more than the usual post. Too much? Let me know.
Cheers,
Douglas

MemberIs that Jim Lampros from the IA board wearing the Helios hat?
Yes. Jim was pretty much our model/stunt man for the trip. Good people!

David AndersonMemberWow, that’s a cool set of shots, but I have to ask – did you guys slide that raft down into the canyon ?

A picture is thousand words that takes less than a second while a thousand words is a picture that takes a month.

MemberGreat job. Good to see Hemkens too. Good dude. Are these for his outfit’s catalog?
Zach
Not exactly. They’re ostensibly for WorldCast Anglers. Anything else would be a bonus =). Steve provided the WCA connection, some fancy duds, and an extra body for the shoot. Righteous dude fer sure.
Wow, that’s a cool set of shots, but I have to ask – did you guys slide that raft down into the canyon ? 😮
Oh yes! Two of ’em. 300 meters of south facing & rattlesnake inhabited gravel scree. Brutal! Took the WCA crew over an hour with the help of ropes, pulleys, anchor points, and leather gloves. At the bottom was a primo stretch of Teton River with nary a human in sight besides us. Epic!
Thanks guys for your kind words. I’ve uploaded a bunch more to my Zenfolio page:
