Little J and Spring Creek weekend

For all you IA’s from the PA way, I’m heading to the ‘J’ the 15th and 16th with some of my buddies from home.
Eric, I was talking with Dave about this last week – I was thinking about heading up that way for a night.

I have Drill this weekend so I am out but I am trying to work my schedule out for Tuesday on SC. Post or PM a trip report and let me know how you guys did! Should be GREAT. I was on Fishing Creek this past weekend and it is about to pop!!!
I fished the J twice the last two weeks. Good sulfers. Fish eating the dun from 3-6. You guys should be in for a treat. I was somewhat surprised to see fish on them like they were the first time (around May 5th). But after speaking with a friend who guides that part of the state he said he saw a couple on the J April 28th. Good Luck.
KbIf anyone is around these parts this upcoming weekend, I think I’m heading that way for Saturday and Sunday.

i love the restaurant at the confluence of spruce x little j.
i think 4 of us ate a full meal, a few rounds of beer, and someone got a bag of chaw and the total was $20 with tip.our favorite little j set ups:
foam hopper w/ san juan or egg dropper
mouserat fished at dusk
chernobyl (orvis used to sell ones that looked like circus peanut candy in black) ants splatted down under the treesMy favorite was last summer, june 20th.. CICADAS!!!!
To me, the river will never fish the same after that.

Are you telling stories again, I heard you never even caught a fish on a Cicada!!! HA HA HA!!!
