First, I just want to thank Zach and board sponsor theflyfishingdvd.com for the free download. After perusing the trailers, I settled on the “Backcountry Trout” (http://www.theflyfishingdvd.com/fr_96.php) video. Those two words really sum up my dream fishing experience…big trout of course are a bonus. Set in the backcountry of New Zealand’s South Island, this video definitely has some great scenery and the fishing is pretty good as well. Over the 30 or so minutes this video runs, Peter Morse and his guide, Nigel Birt, fish over several very nice fish. One of the good things about this video is that it doesn’t try to give the appearance that you’ll catch tons of huge fish without working for them. There are big fish that just won’t eat but plenty that do as well. If you like watching people fishing for large wild trout, this is a great video to check out…
