MemberI was finally able to return the favor, for a fantastic trip in AZ, and get Mr Otto up to UT for a weekend of fishing. Spring fishing is always a sketchy proposition, but for as bad as it “could have been” … I think we fared well! I’ll let the photos do most of the talking. Hopefully, Aaron and/or Doug will chime in in the next little while.
1st things 1st … A little scouting the weekend before with, Mr Barnes. The fishing looked like it wouldn’t totally suck. So, the weekend was “on”.

Friday night was the airport pickup and drive for a couple hours of fishing before chilling out with Doug and another buddy over a couple beers. Aaron has a wicked good cast…

Up in the morning and the IA food shot comes into play!

and the choice! A) Nymphs or B) Streamers

Aaron’s first fish

We stuck a fish or two on nymphs, but in the end choice (B) won out for the remainder of the day!

And a few more …

Doug had to take off for a weekend job .. So, it was time for the other side of the coin for this trip.

The fishing was pretty tough… With only a couple of real opportunities. However, Aaron got the got one of what he was after. I’m sure there is a round two in our future.

The last day was fun, but the fishing was a little slow and the fish would not really commit to eating hard… I’ll let Aaron and Doug fill in some more details.

MemberLOL – where to start?
Another chapter in my dual-lifestyle, thank you Corey.
So snagged a plane Friday around lunch time to see my good friend CK. The only thing that out paces his photography is his sincere and genuine nature. He’s the real deal. Thank you my friend.
Okay onto the Porn:
So I came for him:

Now you know the what, let’s digress to the why.

Corey took me all over, we meet some friends, and in gereral fished our balls off for about 60hours straight.

Utah is cool

So are the Morman fish:

Corey has this placed dialed in. He’s a streamer throwing, fish-catching, photographing FREAK.

MemberWe take our coffee strong. In Utah you can have it with or without Scuds.

One thing I bet you don’t know about CK, is he comes with his own Nightlight!

A place we passed through.

When the lights went down we didn’t really stop.

MemberWater revisited, Corey laying it down.

Even in bad weather, we just kept on fishing. Hard not to, when you only have a day or two to put the rod to water.

Little known, cool farm trick. Want a cow to look up, Moo.

I live off this shiz.

What is going on in those glasses.

Check out CK’s XMAS tree

All in all, the time was spent with one of the best guys I’ve ever had the privlidge to fish with. I look forward to our next trip my friend. See you in a month. I have two cards left to dump. I’ll try and follow up tomorrow with more.
Thanks again,
A

Steve K.MemberRed Bull and brown trout….I likey! Once again…the IA photo bar is elevated another few notches!
Until recently…..I’ve seen very good photographers taking photos of amatuer fly fishermen…..and very good fly fishermen taking amatuer photos of other fly fishermen…..but you guys have that deadly combo that is really rare….a passion and talent for BOTH fly fishing and photography.
Nicely done guys.

MemberThanks guys! Love the photos Aaron and Doug! A damn fine time and indeed another just over the horizion!
Gary: Yeah .. The tigers are stocked. Couple of links #1 and #2 .
TimP: We laughed our asses off when that ‘attack goat’ came after us. It was haulin down the drive right along with the dogs. “Barking” and letting us know it meant business! I dont think it knew it was a goat!
TimS: I dig the AquaKnot. Keeps the lenses dry and has room for a few flyboxes!
