    In looking at the video, it looks like it really does just stick to itself, so I guess using it as a patch would be out.

    We use something similar to that made by 3m here in the shop. It is designed to replace electrical tape and really does only fuse to itself. You can not just slap a piece on something, it has to be wrapped. But it seals up extremely well. It is also very expensive.

    there is a bandage type material like that now. it is stretchy, comes in a roll, and a variety of colors

    you can wrap it around (like an ace bandage) an iv instead of using cotton or plastic tape and it sticks to itself.

    it is re-usable as i have tried it around the house and fly body material.

    we sold something similar in breckenridge that is used to wrap your rods together.

    this looks much more versatile and i can think of one who would approve

    Saw demo at boat show, bought a roll, put in truck, never used it.
