MemberYou’re right Simon, if we believe all the crap that’s thrown at us 24/7 we’re all about to drown in a rising ocean, burn to death, get blown away by giant storms, relive the Grapes of Wrath or die of the flu. >:( >:( >:( >:( 😀
Every day above ground is a good old day it seems. 😎

MemberI’ll agree. Each day I commute by bike to a job I enjoy. I have a 16-month old and she’s well on her way to becoming a master angler. As for the immediate future, I’m a bachelor this weekend and I really will be fishing like the “good old days”. Trout, carp, stripers, hybrids, and cheap whiskey under the stars=all in the works for me in the next 48 hours.
Then, back to this.

Pretty good.

I agree with Morsie. We live in Chicken Little World and people today don’t know how to enjoy nature and life. Any day fishing or being out in nature is a good old day for me.
Take you child, grandchild and dog to the stream and let them show you how to live the good old days. 🙂

“The good old days” ::)
Hope this isn’t too cheesy :-[ but…It happened to me again last night and I had to pull the last remaining hair out just before I went into a diatribe about…
These ARE the good old days!!!!
Not cheesy, just Carly Simon, Simon. On second thought, maybe it is cheesy :-).

MemberRight on Simon, The ‘Good old Days’ were in fact real tough.
No Poly’s
heavy wool instead
No Goretex
Oilskins
No Fluro
No soaking gut leaders to soften them
No Ipods & Gameboys to keep the kids occupied in the car while we fishMay 4, 2009 at 11:43 pm #35698
Joel ThompsonMemberAmen Simon! Live everyday like it is your last as it could very well be! I know for a fact these are my good old days and I am doing everything I can to make sure they never end. Hell, I got fishing buddies all around the world now! Can’t get much better than that!

David AndersonMemberSimon, if you get me a high paid low work job in UnZud I will agree with you.. 😉
For me, the last 12 months have been VERY hard for work, with lower rates, less high end jobs and more BS from the few clients there are, but at the same time, I don’t think I’ve ever been happier, thanks to more time with the wife and my three awesome kids..
🙂
(now that’s some quality cheddar people.. ;))
