    I was in a local Barnes & Noble yesterday perusing the magazine racks for any new issues of fly fishing mags when I came across a new one. At least it is new to me. It is the Big Sky Journal and it is their fly fishing issue. Evidently this mag publishes around 7 times a year and one of those is a fly fishing issue. It contains a lot of real estate ads for ranches in the millions. It also contains some excellent photography and writing. It includes stories by Gierach, James Babb and Bob Jacklin among many others. It was well worth the $5.95 in my honest opinion. If you see it you might want to check it out.

    Big Sky Journal, published 6 times a year, has been around at least since the mid-1990s.

    It’s a great magazine, not the basic hook and bullet, “Bubba goes bass fishing” publication.
