added some more info now that i have more time:

tying midges on the plane, mostly black or red thread midge.

first fish of the trip, small but beautiful brown on mysid shrimp below dillon res. fly was a charlie craven pattern of dubbed white egg yarn, egg yarn tail, black rubber leg eyes

look at that healthy spotted tail from a protein rich diet. my friend ed tagged along (oarsa.org – the o.a.r. setlist website guy) his ankle was messed up from a snow board fall. he had a good time. glad he had my snow shoes in that deep snow.

who would desacrate a bottle of jerry’s like this? for $11/bottle in dillon, i can see why. and of course, jerry’s goes great with kosher for passover coke which should be out soon-made with cane sugar not corn syrup aka ‘mexican coke’

seining the blue below dillon, eggs were stuck together. black dot on each egg. i put the little net down stream and kicked rocks and dug my heels and toes into the gravel and rocks to see what would wash down. basically how i spent my childhood in the woods.

midge (shoot, a bare hook would look  more like this than my flies)

    stonefly and egg.

cool, that might give me some ideas for my next flight!
Times are tough man, some one needs the job of cleaning that stuff up, so look at it this way; you were helping out the economy 😉

bought bison chile w/ green chiles and had over gnocci that night. soo good.

it was a good time. took my mind off my back pain and stress from work. just the pace of life out there is good for your health.
