The Itinerant AnglerBoth the Cloudveil Hellroaring pants and the Simms wader pants are excellent options.

The Itinerant AnglerI *think* there may be a pair of Dan Bailey’s floating out there somewhere.

MemberOther than Simms, does any other company manufacture decent wading pants?
You can find a couple of wading pants here, and they’re quite good too.
Only thing is, i don’t know if they are aviable in US shops . . .

MemberI don’t think you’ll want to float tube in wading pants.

The Itinerant AnglerCloudveil’s original Crystal Creeks ($365) got closed out this year due to the switch to Gore Tex XCR, which was simply a different weave on the interior face fabric.

MemberI’ve been wanting a pair for quite some time, I rarely wade deep. My dealer told me to hold out for the new true Simms waist highs and not get the convertible.
Since I have the customGheenoe LT25 with Jet outboard, waders are used to launch the boat and wade the shallows.

MemberDavid,
I’d never heard of a Gheenoe before seeing your post, but it looks like exactly what I’m looking for.

MemberI love it, can float across 6″ shoals with no problem, and I’d say less, never actually taken a ruler and measured but we keep saying we are.
I’ say going upstream on plane can run over 4″ water.

MemberI’ve been using the Cloudveil wading pants since last Sept. Love them for most of my fishing unless I’m in high water or fishing a deeper tailwater. The suspenders really come in handy on the Cloudveils, as the wades don’t slide down when

MemberDoes anyone know when the new Cloudveil Hellroaring waist highs are coming out? They are not even listed on Cloudveil’s website. Zach, maybe you can chime in on this. I like the looks on them. I really like having the suspenders as opposed to those without. Also thought you might be able to find the discontinued ones for a song, but haven’t seen that to be the case either.

MemberHey, the pants should be out any week now. They’re pretty bomber. I’m a fan of the straps, really keeps them from sliding down on you and lets the waist not be so tight it cuts off the blood flow to your feet.
