Whew…just home from the in-laws after a wonderful lunch of fried chicken, collard greens, black eyed peas, white rice, and stewed tomato gravy.

We used to have one in my family growing up, but since marrying an Italion whose big feast are Christmas Eve and “La Befana” on Jan 6th its gone by the wayside.

I got called in to the E.R. just as I was walking in to Bass Pro Shop, aagghh.

Being from Nebraska, our tradition growing up was runzas.

    Aaron,
I got my B.A. in Nebraska, where was unfortunate enough to run into “Runzas.” Even on my drunkest college nights, I could not stomach those things. You are a brave man indeed.

    Cameron,
Black eyed peas, but I thought that was universal.

LOL, the “fast food” kind don’t do it for me, either, and I don’t know of any restaurants serving the real thing.

And after, a box of Imodium AD would serve one well also! 😉

I got called in to the E.R. just as I was walking in to Bass Pro Shop, aagghh.  That is pretty much my tradition for any holiday.

    Happy New Year everyone.

Well, Neal, that was my story too….Except I was supposed to be going fishing instead of Bass pro, and I was on the receiving end of the knife :'(
