I just wanted to take a moment to say hello and introduce myself.  I’m from Tennessee and fish the area tailwaters and the mountain streams a lot.  Most of my life I’ve been fishing in some form or another and that includes fly fishing for longer than I can remember.  I enjoy tying flies and doing a little photography every now and again and hope to learn a lot from some of the excellent photographers on here.  I hope you are all having a great holiday season and are able to do a little fishing as well…

Here’s a favorite picture from this past summer… (Gunnison River, photo by Trevor Smart)

Here’s a couple from the Smokies.  First is a wild rainbow from somewhere on the North Carolina side and the second is me with a Deep Creek brown, photo taken by Nathan Stanaway…

Welcome Dave… I have seen you somewhere before but I cannot put my finger on it. Like Neal – Similar waters.

A picture is thousand words that takes less than a second while a thousand words is a picture that takes a month.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words.

Kevin, I fish all the TN tailwaters from time to time including the HI quite a bit.  Also I worked at LRO this past summer…any of that ring a bell?  Its always interesting to find out where I know people from…

Cameron, here are a couple of links to some more on the Gunnison portion of my time in CO this past summer…

This was the third year in a row that I’ve been able to fish that area and it never gets old.

Nice to see those bows in the Gunnison. What a beauty, David. Thanks for posting.

Probably one of those days on the Hi. It could have been a random passing and a “howd ya do?” situation. Faces stick in my head so it is hard to say.
