Big Trout in South Park Ice Fishing!

Yes for those eager to fish this winter in 2 degree weather you may get lucky!
Antero Rez is back again and though we’re in a recovery period for a major kill off last winter and hundreds of floaters last Summer due to poor handling, it seems there’s a few big fish left around. Now if only there was a way to catch and release these fish that would be great, hate seeing big trout caught, dropped on ice, than after a blood trail trying to be shoved back into a small hole to swim away…aint going to happen! Two Bruisers in the 13lb range caught the last few weeks…pretty impressive though~

As you can see how happy I am about the Catch and Release policies at Antero…There are none!

The images of Ice Fishing that pop up in my mind, are those of those little 15″ rods and tiny little reels

Yeah not sure how they were able to get them in or pull though those tiny perch holes?? Sorry not me in picture I don’t ice fish just some local guys from the paper
