    Next week, I turn 60.  I made it clear to my wife that I did not want a big party or presents.

    So….

    Last night she announced that she’s arranged to fly my boys in from across the country (arriving tomorrow) and on Friday we’re headed up to Oklahoma — where we’ll be spending the weekend with Dave and Emily Whitlock.   She’s also rented out a nearby B&B, arranged for catered meals, and my in-laws even chipped in with a gift certificate to use for some of Dave’s DVDs or artwork.

    I spoke with Emily this morning and we planned the visit, which will include entomology, fly tying, and fly casting instruction (for us all), followed by a bit of trout fishing on their pond and stream.

    I can’t wait.

    Congrats on all points Mick. I am definitely envious. Have fun and bring us a report so we can feel like it was us going.
