After a few years of unwanted sabbatical I finally got back down to my favorite river for a few days.  Sometimes climbing down into this river is like a big hug.  You get down in there and the canopy wraps itself around you and everything else fades away.

Here are a couple shots from the last few days.

    Big rainbows and bigger browns.

Regulatory IA food shots…we ate pretty good.  🙂

I could have stayed for a week.  Did not get enough time down in those rivers.

    Tim,

Nice report – those spots look familiar to me as well.

Tim, remind me to ignore you when you moan in posts about your photos being crap and not ever turning out.

    Is that a campfire paella?

Looks like an awesome trip. Love the reflected colors in that first shot! Thanks for the post.

One brown that pushed 20….nothing over.

I’ve spent a fair amount of time in the south, but I’ve NEVER seen anyone grill a beer before!
