Isn’t this supposed to be one of the two happiest days of my life (the other being the day I SELL the boat?).

Friday we left Knoxville after SWMBO got off of work and made it to Spartanburg, SC.  Spent the night and early in the AM left and headed south to Hayes Marine on Clark Hill Lake in Appling, GA.  It makes me chuckle to think that we drove through two states to get to one that borders TN, but it was supposed to be faster this way.

We arrived at the marina about 9:30, took a test drive in the boat, and by 11:30 we were towing our new money pit home.  First thing I noticed was that the ol’ 4Runner was burning about 2X the gas with the trailer, but I guess that’s to be expected.  Luckily for us, we were heading back while the Vols were getting stomped, so most of the roads from Knoxville to anywhere were pretty empty.

I really, really like this boat.

    SWMBO

This is the first time I have heard this term out side of South Africa, more like out side of Cape Town… we add an A for Always

Really like the boat… best bit is you can put SWAMBO infront of you for extra spray protection…. 😎

A picture is thousand words that takes less than a second while a thousand words is a picture that takes a month.

    Abe,
I would think the maiden voyage should be on the tailrace that finally pushed you over the edge…………. in search of more stripers!

Maiden voyage ended up being on Melton Hill by Solway, a boat ramp I drive by every day on my way to work.
