It’s been a while since I’ve gone fishing but this weekend I’m going to Savannah to chase some Redfish. Since I’ve pretty much been spending all my free time with my new camera I thought I would post some dog pictures as examples of life lessons for fly fishing.
Get plenty of rest

Wake up at the crack of dawn ready to hit the water (or eat breakfast in this case)

Remember to practice

Listen to others when they are trying to teach you something (This would be a classic example of what I look like when the guide is telling me to re-cast, ha)

Try not to look too excited when you get to the water

Again, try not to look to excited in general, this sport is about composure. Play it cool.

It’s all about confidence

Learn to spot fish, keep your eyes open and focus

If the fish aren’t eating, enjoy the scenery

If it’s slow, don’t be afraid to take a nap

If you get a bite, keep calm, don’t be alarmed

Watch others and learn, the really good fly fishers are methodical

AND FINALLY . . .
NEVER EVER DO THIS
