My first trip to chase after some redfish and the day started off with quite a bit of eagerness.

The sun rising over the marsh was not something I wanted to pass up.

After some advice on how to spot a cruising Redfish…think of a torpedo pushing water…and ten or fifteen minutes of getting my casting arm back I was able to land this.

All told I think I hooked about twelve fish and landed most of them.

I had to take some pics of the spots.

    I was in Chauvin, Louisianna.

Some great photographs there Conor! The marsh land is magnificent, in some area’s, down there. I used to do a good amount of fishing in many of the different swamp area’s of Louisiana but I kind of have a love hate relationship with it. I did 2 tours of the delta swamps doing both S&R and Federal Law Enforcement (anti drug trafficking and anti terrorist sort of stuff), while stationed with a small unit, in Venice, La., back in 83-85. Love the photographs from down that way but have no desire to go back. 😉

Looks like a great trip… What beautiful scenery and those redfish are pretty sweet also!
