    My brother-in-law, 10 year old son, and I hiked across Rocky Mountain National Park. We fly fished along the way and caught some greenback cutthroats and Colorado cutthroats. It was a blast!

    We didn’t take many fish photos due to the greenbacks being on the endangered species list. Thunder lake was sweet! The full picture gallery can be found here: http://www.pbase.com/brian_barnes/200807_rmnp_backcountry.

    that picture of your son looks like a cover shot for a fly fishing magazine!  He’s got the stooped pose, the rod hand out laterally, the smile, the grip, the lanyard, and the attitude.  Looks like he is on his way.

    Wow.  Amazing report and pictures.  I felt like I was there.  It brought back memories of summiting Long’s Peak.  

    I realy enjoyed the story, and what an amazing trip for your son.  He will cherish these memories of time spent with you for the rest of his life!
