These fish usually take tiny offerings, but for some reason this old girl wanted a #14 Pheasant Tail. No surprise she came out to play right at dusk.

Holy crap Todd!!!! Although I have to admit I’m shocked that you didn’t take it on one of those 32s you have.

Thanks for all the comments, she was a blast.

I shouldn’t reveal where she was caught for fear of reprisal from my buddies, but sufice it to say she was from a tailwater, not in MI.

Exl, my dream is to join the 20/20 club, but I’ll have to wait, now I have a new goal. Down on the Elk in WV there are a couple of guys that have a 10/20/30 club. This is a 20″ fish on 10x tippet with a size 30 fly. If I knew where to buy 10x and how to keep it from breaking when I tighten my knot, I’d love to give it a try.

    Todd,
Here is your 10x tippet: http://www.littlelehighflyshop.com/generic32.html

They even go down to 12x. Good luck with your new goal. My goal for the year is to land 200 carp on the fly. If we didn’t get all this rain I bet I would pretty close by now. I have basically lost out on a month’s worth of fishing. Least things are settling back down a little.

If you’re serious about the 10x tippet, I’m sure Frying Pan Anglers would have some.
