I’ll be working about 60 miles north of Pensacola for the next two months or so. Does anyone have any knowledge of fishing salt in this area. Looking to do some DIY fishing if I can. A guide isn’t in the budget. Will have my yak with me and might have a 16 ft John on the weekends. Any info on the area or flyshops is appreciated.

    Check you PM.

I’m not real familiar with the Pensacola area.

I’m sure there’s fishing closer, but the only thing I’m familiar with in the area is St. Joseph state park, about 2.5 hours to the southeast.

    Josh,

If you’ve got your yak with you, you’ve got lots of both fresh and saltwater opportunities within easy reach.

Checkout: http://americanriverfishing.com/ and the different state sites for ideas.
