MemberI live in Ogden, but I am outta town that whole week (elk and john day) or I’d def be down for playing host and hitting some water with you. Are you still going to be around that weekend, Aug 2nd and 3rd? I’ll be back and able to fish those days. If your looking for a day trip or two and depending on your # of hours driving tolerance… I can help you out with some nice not-so-on-the-map type spots also.
You’ll be about 15 mins from some really good fishing on the Weber. I fish it prob once a week. So, I can give you some good info .. Send me an email. http://www.flickr.com/photos/coreyk/tags/weberriver/
The Green is a pretty long drive from Hill … A section is beautiful and well worth it, but I’d prob do an overnighter and a float if you can. http://www.flickr.com/photos/coreyk/tags/greenriver/

MemberCorey,
Looking at your photo skills I would love to get out with you just for a few decent pics!!! Kudos to you!!!
I am planning on the week of 20-26 July. I am not sure what my requirements will be while I am out there but I am sure the evenings are mine and I am shooting for all day Friday and flying out on Saturday. I had talked to a guy that raved about the Weber and said I would be close to the lower part of it. I don’t have a need to fish in any particular place, just looking to wet a line in a new place and if all goes well get a few hook-ups!
Thanks for the offer and if you are around I look forward to meting you on the water and Beer on me afterwards.

MemberKalvin: Great! I’ll be here that week. A couple of evenings on the river are on the agenda! The Weber should be fishing really around that time. I like the fishing on the lower stretches of the river, which will be very close to Hill. I’ll reply to your email with a coupe of flies for you to have in your box!
Cameron: We had a really heavy and extended winter. So, runoff has bee a real ______ this year! The flows on the Weber and Provo were both bumped up last week to release some of the water buildup in the reservoirs. My last outing on the Weber was last Thursday night and it was fairly slow, but that was the day they raised flows. So, I’m [s:8e2w113i]hoping[/s:8e2w113i] guessing that the fish will settle in and that nymphing and maybe streamers will produce a few fish for you. For nymphs sowbugs and hares-ears (14 – 16) usually do the trick. I sent out a couple of emails to see what areas were fishing well and will PM you with anything I come up with.
Are your buddies from the area? I’m crazy busy at work this week or I would offer to meet-up with you. If you are going to fish the Weber I can point you to a couple of very nice sections of river near Wanship, which is the closest section to SLC. If you stop into a local shop, Fishtech (no website) always has a very good idea of whats fishing well.
