I see all these stripes, carp, smallmouth. I’ve been been focusing on the wrong thing. I need help getting into the warmwater side of the game. I’m in Georgia and not sure which direction to go. I caught my first stripers by shear luck and situation this year. Zack mentioned the shoal bass in another post and I have caught a few of those on accident but what about these monster carp? That looks like fun. Any Georgia folks fishing for these things?

I don’t know from Shoal Bass, are they the same thing as Redeye Bass? I understand you have those in Georgia or what may be a new strain which is undergoing study.

    Kevin,

Check out: http://www.georgiariverfishing.com/ and remember that reading water, and putting flies in front of fish is essentially the same regardless of the water termperature.  We catch bass in our Alabama rivers (http://www.alabamariverfishing.net/) essentially the same way trout are caught in Montana. The flies might be larger, but put the fly in front of the fish and its a done deal.
