Hey guys –

I’d like to take this opportunity to welcome our newest site sponsor, Mountain Khakis.  MK is a Jackson, Wyoming company making really excellent rugged outdoor clothes.  These are to ordinary pants as a high-end fly rod is to a foreign import.  That means, yes, they’re still pants.  On the other hand, how many pants have such intelligent features as gusseted crotches (for easier high-stepping over rhododendron), double-stitched seams everywhere or doubled ankle reinforcements (if, to quote Jeff Foxworthy, you, like me, you prefer to walk the excess length off your jeans rather than hem them)?

They’re great clothes and they’re expanding the line as we speak.  I am pushing them to think about designing some flats/travel pants that breathe but remain this rugged.
