Our season here in NZ is drawing to a close and I hope to post some final pics as Autumn does its thing.

Tight lines for your coming season guys.

I’ve put on a link to my friends fly “the Bionic bug” and a reminder of what our summer terrestrial fishing can be like. I suppose it might even create a bit of discussion about fly design and what fish really eat

Actually Stu won an FFF peoples choice for the Bionic bug a year or so back.

The eyes are for real. I’m not sure the fish see them though? I suppose its all about fly profile? He initially tied it to skate for steelhead but it just gets such a reaction from clients when he ties it on locally …. and then when fish eat it 😮 😮 😮 😮 ;D ;D!!!!!

Yah, sometimes I think fish eat the fly because it looks different or just looks to big and bushy to pass up.
