I feel im going out of my mind, snow, cold, wind, im tired of boring dvds… Ive got it and ive got it bad,, CABIN FEVER… The only thing that will come close to fixing it is two above freezing short afternoons

Joel ThompsonMemberDave just try to keep in mind how good all of that snow and cold is going to be for our rivers this summer. For the first time in YEARS most of the areas in the state are at normal or above normal snow pack for the year so far. If we can keep that up for a couple more months than this summer should be as good as it gets!
There is always ice fishing Dave ::)………………..

It really is a lot worse to have perfect fishing weather 75 degrees, no wind, like we do in south Texas and not having the time to actually go fishing.

I’ll remember that the next time the plows dump 3 feet of frozen snow/slush across the front of my driveway. My arms and back are so sore from digging out the past couple weeks I dont know if I could muster up the strength to toss a #18 dry on a 4wt. Keep in mind Im writing this less than 24hours after the last storm dumped another foot plus and as I look at my office its snowing again.
Sure it hurts when your stuck in the office and conditions are perfect, but 4 to 7 months of closed seasons and living vicariously through others is another kind of pain altogether. Cabin fever, shack nasties call them what you will blow 🙂
the good news is now that its Feb I can start my countdown.

Mike McKeownMemberHa ha… 32deg Celcius here today, sitting in shorts and a t-shirt…
Winter is not too bad, day temps will be between 15 and 25deg Celcius, but evenings will get to 0 to 5 C…
Still fish in winter, that when the beasts come out to play, Largemouth Yellowfish…
Mike
Here is a small one… taken in summer…

Zach – Check the other pics, it is very similar to the fish those crazy guys were talking about in Mongolia. Eyes on top of their head, get up 60lbs (25kg’s x 2.2lbs)… attack anything on the surface… and I havent landed a dog yet
