Does anyone have any experience with Echo fly rods?

    Tim,

You may have already heard this line, but the Cabelas 3 forks 3 weight is suppose to be an excellent rod.  It is about $50.00.  Aside from that I have heard good reviews of the finesse series.

Spencer, you are now the third person I’ve heard mention the Cabela’s 3wt as a good rod (for small streams).  I am going to have to investigate this ::)

I just picked up a Cabela’s Three Forks 7’6″ 3wt for $29 on sale. Great rod at many times that price. It’s all I used this past weekend on the Little Mo.

Echo makes good rods – they are designed by Tim Rajeff on the TFO market model.

I’d like to say I have personal experience with them, but I can’t. I do however know 3 or 4 fly fishers who do and absolutely swear by the Echo rods. I was going to get one myself, but am holding out for a rod building class so I can build a rod. Anyway, the Echos rods, I think, come with 2 tips. An ‘A’ tip for accuracy & a ‘D’ tip for distance. Good luck whichever way you go in choosing a rod. Personally, I don’t care too much for the Cabela’s rod I have, but I have only fished the one rod from them, and would not judge all their rods on my limited experience.
