    Hey guys –

I finally found a pair of rugged, lightweight hiking boots in the Simms L2s, but alas I have the same problem many folks have had with this model: they’re too narrow.

Haha, I almost didn’t notice the zip ties!

But yes, the L2 shoes were too narrow for me. My toes have tendency to cross under pressure and that HURTS! The Freestone boots are much roomier in the toe area.

If you can’t fix it with duct tape or zip ties it is truly busted. Once again necessity is the mother of invention. I have zip ties in all my packs and possible’s bags.

Zach… lots of posts from you today how’s the weather.

Zach you can send me the money I saved you in new boots via western union.

Yeah and what is the deal with you putting up so many posts.

I also found the Simms boots way to narrow for comfort and I do not have very wide feet either.

    Brett –

I’ve seen the new boots and they are very nice.
