MemberIt turned plenty windy thursday, too windy to fish, but today it was not too windy, but a little cool… My son Matt and I decided to head out for one of too few trips this summer. .
Matt was haveing alot of trouble casting so he would get it out aways, feed the line out of the boat some and strip it in.. It paid off with this nice brown… 🙂Sep 10, 2007 at 6:02 am #19304dave schlick

Joel ThompsonMemberHey Dave is that above Wolf Creek? I hear that the MO is starting to fish a lot better these days and need to get over there. What did those Browns eat? It is that time of year they should be starting to chase streamers aggressively! How were the weeds?

Cam, what else would you expect Santa to do on his time off? 😉

MemberYes above wolf creek. Ive been fishing streamers all summer.. They were not very aggressive at all….. Water may be too warm yet?.. The big guy took a beat up number 10 hook streamer.. Nothing special..

A picture is thousand words that takes less than a second while a thousand words is a picture that takes a month.

Member“Are they what you would expect to get on that river or better ? ” The browns ive caught seem to have gotten alot of attention in town here also with the photos ive shown.. They dont seem to present themselves very much till fall. Ive only caught 4 browns that I remember this year.. Almost all in the last 3 weeks or so.. But i dont fish the fall much.. Im supposed to be out practicing with my flintlock.. So If we go from there, and talk about rainbows, ……..I plead the 5th….. But as for the big browns, no I dont expect them…… The browns seem to be pecking at the streamers… If you set the hook they will probably be gone… I was using a small streamer becouse it was convienient at that time…. …. This may have been an issue I dont know……. 🙂
