This weekend I destroyed a brand new Airflo integrated shooting line in about four hours fishing with Mike. I don’t want to disparage their product but I do want to warn you about the usage parameters I encountered.

Zach, I don’t know about Rio but the SA lines I’ve used were not as good as the Oris. The one I used had a clear running line (mono core) and it had a lot of the same tangle issues you were having. I’ve tried a few different shooting heads and I’d still pick the Orvis over them all.

I’ll go ahead and say it, that airflo line you had was 100% pure crap. I’ve never seen line that bad and Airflo should really consider pulling it off the shelves if they even still sell it. My Orvis lines last for years, in fact the only reason I’ve had to get rid of one was because my trolling motor cut off most of the head. It was four years old and you’ve seen how I use them and abuse them. I’m sure there are other good lines out there but I’ll stick to one I know is good and last a long time.
