Saltwater gear?

Heading out to fish Pudget Sound in the near future. Will be the first time fishing in salt water and was hoping for any tips to keep my gear in shape pre and post trip. What do you salt water guys do to protect your high end Reels, Rods and wading gear? This is a guided trip and gear can be provided but I think I would feel ill-prepared if my stuff wasn’t with me! Any gear that can’t be used in salt water? Most of the stuff I’m bringing is trout stuff as we’ll likely target sea-run cutts. Hope to bring back some nice shots.
