I went out fishing by myself for a few hours this morning just to gather my thoughts before hooking up with clients this afternoon. I went to one of my favorite spots and managed to time a shot of a rainbow feeding. I ended up hooking and landing this fish. It was 23 1/2 inches long and probably weighed around 5 to 6 pounds. I didn’t have a net so I didn’t try to screw around getting a shot of him in hand. Oh well, maybe next time I will bring a buddy along to get proof of the catch! 😉
I’m headed to Yellowstone this summer and plan to spend a good deal of time photographing rising trout. I know the polarizer will be needed. Any other tips would be greatly appreciated.
Drifter there was no filter used with this shot. Just the old handy point and shoot. The best part about it was that I took little to no time in getting the shot because I really wanted to catch the fish. Better to be lucky than good sometimes. 🙂
