First outing this spring in south Lousyana…two fish was my limit. It’s still kinda early. Bass and bowfin (we call ’em choupique) on a 7 1/2′ 4pc 5-wt I built this winter on a Tiger Eye blank. Fly was a size 8 Jitterbee.

The camera was a hundred dollar 5 mp Sanyo I picked up at Wally-World to take with me when I didn’t want to lug the D100 around. Not too shabby, for what it is.

    Will,

Interesting pattern hanging out that fish’s mouth, care to share it’s name.

Got two of these, and 2 bluegill Sat. Wind shifted and fouled up the lake a bit:

Did you catch them on nymphs or popping bugs?
    Best,
    John

    I used a chartreuse/black Jitterbee tied on a #10 hook.
