    Hey guys –

Spent the weekend in the company of Mike Anderson, Brian Dunigan, Grumpy, and Bill Price on the Cumberland River.

Nice images as usual Zach:) I was curious about the pattern in images 1 and 2 and in the bottom right hand corner of the fly box images- the rubber leg one. Is it a named pattern? or would you mind sharing the recipe? It looks very interesting!

    Why, that’s a big “Bead-headed Rubber-legged Gold-ribbed Red Fox Squirrel Tail Nymph”!

Great pictures Zach! I especially like the parking lot camp out. What was up with that???

I also found it very interesting that you guys started fishing so early. In Montana this time of year you really need to wait until things warm up a little before the fishing gets good. Probably not going to happen this week. It was 2 below zero here this morning and we have six inches of snow on the ground from the night before. I guess it’s time to start thinking about ice fishing!

    Nice pictures and amazing browns!
I’d like to fish sometime in november too, but I’m afraid all rivers & straems are closed for the season here in Europe…

    Great photo story, Zach.

My brother and I fished the Cumby yesterday. There were times during the day that we couldn’t stop giggling the fishing was so fantastic. It was just a perfect day.

I am fishing a day in the park this weekend–Cataloochee to be specific–should any of you N Georgia or Carolina guys want to spend a few hours fishing for wild fish.

Very nice work guys. It’s on my calendar for next year. Glad you guys got to go, and had a good time. By the way, I always thoght that danged Grumpy was kind of, well, less than handsome. Turns out he’s very photogenic. Cool picture. And before any of you wise guys get any ideas, I mean that in a very manly man sort of way. He kind of looks like the Marlboro Man of fly fishing.

Zach, it was good to see you up there, even if I did pretty much wander off and do my own thing for much of the day.

If you get up to this area again, I’ll try to stick around and be a little more sociable.
