I spent the 2005 season guiding in Alaska and put together a short clip of some of the footage I shot while up there for 4 months. Thought some of you may enjoy watching it.

Is that you with the extended tube 12ga? Fishing in a place where you need to carry some serious firepower just seems like it would add a whole new dimension to the experience… 🙂
That was mostly on the Talachulitna River, 45 minute bush plane flight northeast of Anchorage. Some of our fishing was on other waters in that proximity…all on the Susitna watershed.
That was one of the other guides with the marine 870 shotgun. I carried a .44 mag on my wading belt the whole summer. Never had to draw it, but came mighty close one day. Told everyone I guided the handgun was for grizzlies and bad clients.
