Took a quick day trip to some trout water a few hours away.  We had a wonderful time and though I didn’t get as many photograghs as I would have liked…I thought I’d still post a few anyways.

We caught quite a few trout…and had our hearts broken on others.  I used my Scott “F” seven foot three weight all day since I had just gotten the J. W. Young Beaudex reel to pair it with.  The rod casts amazingly but really isn’t a nymph rod of any sort.  I had a bit of a problem getting  a solid hookset and lost quite a few larger trout.  Like I mentioned in a past thread…this is a “dry fly” rod completely.

    Enjoy the photographs…

Thanks Zach…I enjoy posting a few photographs from a trip from time to time…and also REALLY enjoy seeing where other people are casting flies at.

Yeah…I agree that the three weight just doesn’t set the hook like the five weight would.

Great job Cameron. #4 is my favorite, I like the composition and color of the water and ‘bow. #5 is my next favorite 🙂 Hard to beat a good hand-rolled Dominican stogie.

    What camera/lens were you using?
