Anyone have any experience with these wading boots?

Not to hijack the thread but I’d like to know your (Cameron) and your (everyone)’s thoughts on wading boots in general right now.

I finally wore out a pair of Simms Freestones on this last trip.

I haven’t worn felt for at least six years…I’m a big fan of the Aquastealth soles.

    Hey Cameron –

I am way interested in Aquastealths, especially since 1) I get discounts and 2) I already have a set of felts.

🙂 I repaired my Chota’s. I bought a repair kit. I removed the old felt and then used Gorilla glue. I made sure the soles were really tight by using screws to keep the soles secure. When they dried (left to dry for 36 hours) I removed the screws. and just replaced the studs with new ones. I’ve been fishing on the repaired boots at least 3 times a week for the last 6 months without a problem. Silver Doc

I really think it comes down to personal preference…in the past six or so years that I’ve used the Aquastealths I’ve really felt solid wading on all surfaces.

    Hello…

I have a pair of the “cheaper” ($79) model and have to say that I am very impressed.

I am also in the market for some new boots. I wore out a pair of Cabelas lightweight boots and although I loved em I’ve been talked into buying Aquastealth after reading this post and others. Cameron I think you did a great job of summing up why felt sucks.

Talk about bringing a thread back from the dead…not touched since March…

I saw a few photographs of a new Korker’s boot that was pretty sharp looking.

Second season on my Korkers and going strong… no slippage and minimum wear.

Sorry but I’ve got to give those Korker boots a bit “no” vote.
