My Bauer MZ4 fell on the ebay sword and I ordered a Danielsson LW 6nine yesterday. Their US sales guy, Ron Larson, was very helpful. I will give first impressions when I get it.

Is that a salmon/steelhead in your avatar?
I’m headed to Alaska (for salmon) in August and could use some pointers.

The fish is a great lakes Steelhead taken on the Cattaraugus creek in Western NY. I have never fished for Salmon/Steelhead outside of the Great lakes. They are all Pacific fish at heart, so I guess that general info would apply wherever you are fishing for them. Fire away and I will see what I can do. You absolutely must share your pics and a detailed report with us.
