Just got back from a great trip to GSM. My son and I fished in the park for 4 days. We fished a morning session and an evening session each day and in between we hit Gatlinburg for a little entertainment. The mornings were definitely the toughest. We fished caddis’ with a Tellico dropper and picked up the most fish on the dropper. I did pick up a couple decent browns on the caddis. The evenings were definitely the highlight and we caught fish every night wherever we were. The key was having the right size and yellow. Stimulators, yellow caddis, and the yellow sally all worked. 16-18 worked the best. The weather was decent on Sunday and Monday. We got a little rain Friday and Saturday, which slowed the fishing down a little. When the weather was warm the hatches were pretty intense, and this week should be one of the better weeks. If you head up make sure to fish Elkmont, Tremont and the Middle prong. Every hole held fish, but you will only get one or two cast before they shut down. Move up to the next hole. It was unbelievable how small the water was that held fish. Most were small, but the numbers more than made up for it. Make sure to check in at LRO for the latest reports. Good luck.

Thanks. They both came from the pool below the bridge at EM. Several larger rainbows also came from there right at dark. The first brown came right above Metcalf bottoms.
