    Did someone hit the chicken shack out on 421?
    I love to fish Beaverdam on falling water in the late spring and summer.

    Zach, were fish showing face on the SoHo?
    Any BWO’s or Sulfurs fluttering around?
    Most importantly, did you try those black fly larva?
    Them’s getters on the SoHo at times! ;D

    Some folks are VERY particular about their larva patterns. I don’t think it much matters as long as they are dark and small with maybe a touch of light color near the head.

    Do you dead-drift the black fly larva, swing it, or something else?

    Also, do you fish it right at the bottom or higher up in the water column?

    Midge fishing is something I could stand to learn more about.

    Near bottom. On the river posted about here, the water is generally thin and one small splitshot 12-16″ above the fly will work.
