I think HD videos look much better on Vimeo than on YouTube.
Vimeo also offers you to download the video which is a nice option.

Just a personal guess but, I think using youtube, as the embedded video source,  has been better as far as google SEO goes.

I prefer to use Vimeo for my stuff.  I upgraded to the Plus program which allowed me to upload more content when ever I needed to.  Otherwise you are limited to 1 HD upload a week.  Here are my two pages and you can see that I have more on Vimeo.

Notice I have my Hooper Juan video on there but it cannot be played because it is over the 10 minute limit.

Notice it is on Vimeo and there is not a limit on video length.

Both do the same job, it's just personal preference.  I think Vimeo has more of the professional stuff and lacks all the teenage party videos that Youtube has and thus is much cleaner.

Indeed!

I much prefer to use Vimeo over Youtube. I think in the last couple years they have really improved the quality of their conversions. They also seem to be able to convert videos much quicker than Youtube.

I like the controls and features with in Vimeo that I don't seem to have with Youtube. I also really like that I can manipulate the video player within an embed. It makes for a little cleaner look as opposed to that God awful looking Youtube player...but to each his own.

Another plus for vimeo is a larger max size/length.
