I’m looking for a pack/vest and the Patagonia Sweet Pack/Vest is in the lead.

Can anyone make a recommendation on a good pack/vest?

I’m not interested in the models that have hard pockets on the front. If I was meant to experience that kind of thing I’d go get breast implants 🙂

I have one of the Westwater waterproof lumbar packs and it is really solid. Here’s the backpack/chestpack version: http://fishpondusa.com/product/detail/westwater-backpack/7

    Hey Chris,

I had a the previous model Packvest by Patagonia.
It was the best pack I have ever had – I had a number of others too, including Airflo, Fishpond and others made locally in RSA.

The new Sweet Pack/vest is on my list to be acquired. Just haven’t been able to find anything that suits my needs quite like the Packvest does.

Let me know how you go in your search – if you decide to get one, maybe we can share the shipping costs, as I’m also in Melbourne.

    Cheers,

    Daryl
