In addition to hosting this site, I'm also an outdoor writer and photographer. I am the current Southeast Field Editor for Fly Fisherman magazine. Since 2006, I have also been a regular contributor to American Angler magazine. Additionally, I've published articles and/or photos with Fish & Fly, Fly Rod & Reel, Garden & Gun, Backpacker, Kentucky Afield and The Drake. So far, I've written around thirty national feature articles, many of which are available on the Articles section of this site.
In my official capacity as podcast guinea pig, I became an FFF certified fly casting instructor in 2009. Every year, I travel to speak to TU and FFF groups, universities, and clubs. Please contact me for a list of references if you are interested in having me speak to your organization.
I started this website in May 2005. While you're here, I
hope you visit the Photoblog,
check out the Bulletin Board and download The
Itinerant Angler Podcast. With over seventy-five episodes to date, it is the leading fly-fishing podcast and has been regularly featured in the Apple iTunes Store since 2006.
When I'm not fly fishing, shooting pictures, or typing words, I
practice law with Hicks, Casey & Foster in Marietta, Georgia. I am licensed in Tennessee and Georgia.
I can be contacted during business hours at (770) 722-9784 or by email. My fishing resume contains more background information and a complete list of my feature publications to date. I am always open to friendly emails about materials on this site, so please do not hesitate to let me know if you have a question or comment.
Thank you for visiting The
Itinerant Angler.
